Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ProphecAI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ProphecAI ("we," "us," or "our").

Description of Service

ProphecAI is an iOS application that provides AI-assisted biblical guidance and Scripture explanations. The App uses artificial intelligence to help users explore and understand the Bible through:

• Answering questions about faith and Scripture
• Providing verse explanations with context and application
• Offering age-appropriate content (child, teen, adult)
• Tailoring responses to selected Christian denominations

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ProphecAI independently. Users under 13 may use the App with parental consent and supervision.

By using ProphecAI, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Account and Subscription

Free Tier

ProphecAI offers a free tier that includes:

• 7 questions per day
• Access to all core features
• Verse explanations

Supporter Subscription

The Supporter subscription provides:

• 77 questions per day
• Priority support
• Support for ongoing development and AI costs

Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• Subscription prices may change with notice

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ProphecAI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Share or resell your subscription access
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Submit malicious code or interfere with the App's operation

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: ProphecAI uses Google's Gemini artificial intelligence to generate biblical guidance and Scripture explanations. While we strive for accuracy and theological soundness:

• AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• Responses should not replace consultation with religious leaders, pastors, or spiritual counselors
• The App is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, mental health, etc.)
• Always verify important theological questions with your faith community and authoritative sources
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
• AI responses represent general biblical guidance, not official church doctrine

ProphecAI is intended as a supplemental tool for Bible study and spiritual reflection, not as authoritative religious instruction or pastoral care.

Religious Content and Sensitive Information

ProphecAI processes religious content and personal preferences as part of its core functionality:

Data Sent to AI Service

When you ask a question, the following data is sent to Google's Gemini API:

• Your denomination selection (e.g., Catholic, Baptist, Methodist) to tailor responses to your faith tradition
• Your age group (child, teen, or adult) for age-appropriate content
• Your questions about faith and Scripture
• Recent conversation context for continuity

Your Acknowledgment

By using ProphecAI, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your questions and preferences are sent to Google's AI service for processing
• This data is processed temporarily and not linked to your identity
• We do not collect, store, or have access to this information
• Your preferences are stored locally on your device only
• You are comfortable with this data processing for the purpose of generating biblical guidance

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content (excluding AI-generated responses and user content), is owned by ProphecAI and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Biblical text and Scripture quotations remain the property of their respective copyright holders.

User Content and Privacy

You retain full ownership of the questions you submit. By using the App:

• Your questions are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing
• We do not store, access, or retain your questions or conversations
• Your conversation history is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers
• We do not collect or have access to your personal data

ProphecAI operates as a "pass-through" service. We do not analyze your questions, create user profiles, or access your data in any way.

Third-Party Services

ProphecAI integrates with third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: For AI-powered responses
• Apple Services: For payments, iCloud sync, and distribution

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, performance, or policies.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI responses will be accurate or reliable
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Any defects will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Reliance on AI-generated content
• Actions taken based on App guidance

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProphecAI, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse or misuse of the service
• Extended periods of inactivity

You may terminate your use by deleting the App. Upon termination, your subscription (if any) will continue until the end of the current billing period unless you request a refund through Apple.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ProphecAI
• Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to any successor
